BIO

Laura Petridis is an Associate Lecturer (Teaching Focused) in the Department of Public Health, School of Psychology and Public Health, La Trobe University. She is an enthusiastic early career, teaching focused academic, with a strong passion for delivering a rich student-centred learning experience. Laura thrives in an environment where she can work with peers and colleagues to educate, encourage and inspire a community of learners.

With over eight years’ experience of teaching in tertiary education and more recently through engagement with the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning, Laura has developed research interests in the areas of student engagement, student success, and the overall student experience in higher education. Laura’s commitment to providing an outstanding student learning experience had led her to explore and participate in research opportunities in the specific areas of student satisfaction and success and academic and non-academic student supports.

Laura is currently completing a PhD in the School of Public Health, La Trobe University. Her PhD research program comprises a multi-stage, mixed-method study within the elite sporting context.
