BIO

Dr Mei-Tai Chu is a multi-disciplinary academic in the field of Management Information Systems, with a strong interdisciplinary orientation and a commitment to impactful research, innovative teaching, and collaborative engagement. Her work bridges the intersection of technology, organizational strategy, and sustainable business practices, contributing to both scholarly advancement and industry relevance.

 

Dr Chu’s teaching portfolio reflects a deep engagement with contemporary MIS topics, including Managing IT Projects, Enterprise Business Intellilgence, Analytic Projects, Enterprise Information Systems, Digital Business which emcompass data-driven decision-making, enterprise systems, and strategic IT management. She is known for integrating real-world applications and emerging technologies into the classroom, fostering critical thinking and practical skills among her students.

 

With a rich industry experience as the consultant, her research explores the dynamic role of information systems in shaping organizational performance, innovation, and competitiveness. She has contributed to many peer-reviewed journals and international conferences, with a focus on areas such as Social Robot Embedded Social Innovation, Knowledge Management, Communities of Practice, and the business-technical dimensions of system implementation. Her work often draws on interdisciplinary frameworks, combining insights from management and technology to address complex challenges in digital environments.

 

Dr Chu is actively involved in Higher Degree Research (HDR) supervision, mentoring both domestic and international students. She supports research that is methodologically rigorous and socially relevant, with an emphasis on producing outcomes that benefit academia, industry, and policy.

 

She collaborates with scholars and institutions across disciplines and geographies, contributing to research networks that span Asia, Europe, and North America.
