BIO

My research examines the diversity of freshwater organisms, particularly invertebrates, and what factors drive their distributions and abundances. I have a keen interest in the management of ecosystems to support aquatic life, especially under future predicted climate change. To undertake my research, I use skills and tools ranging across population genetics, taxonomy, ecological modelling, environmental DNA, and remotely sensed spatial data. I often work with large datasets and conduct analyses on large-scales (e.g. state- and catchment-wide), but also have an interest in laboratory-based ecological studies.
