I am a PhD candidate and research officer at the Australian Research Centre in Sex, Health and Society (ARCSHS). My work focuses on strengthening the role of peer-led and community-driven approaches within public health systems, particularly in HIV, viral hepatitis, and LGBTIQ+ health.

My PhD research aims to identify structural elements within the health sector to amplify the system-level impact of peer-led organisations, with a focus on reducing stigma, valuing peer contributions, and embedding community-driven insights into policy and program design.

In my research officer role, I support the implementation of PozQoL, a quality-of-life scale for people living with HIV. I am also contributing to the development of a five-year research program to advance peer-led health initiatives across Australia. This work builds on my previous experience with the What Works and Why (W3) Project (www.w3framework.org) and PozQoL (www.pozqol.org).

My background includes a Master of International Public Health and experience in health promotion, community development, and public health initiatives centred on social equity. Before joining ARCSHS, I worked with the Tonga Health Promotion Foundation (TongaHealth), supporting national non-communicable disease prevention efforts through capacity building and program development. Previous roles have spanned mental health; HIV prevention, management, and support; and LGBTIQ+ health. Across all my roles, I have been committed to fostering partnerships and building accessible ways for communities to engage meaningfully with the health systems that support them.
