BIO
Dr Rhiannon Campbell is a biomechanist and Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the School of Allied Health, Human Services and Sport at La Trobe University. Rhiannon earned her PhD at the University of Canberra, in conjunction with the Australian Institute of Sport, developing methods for using wearable technology to monitor training load in artistic gymnastics. Rhiannon is an Accredited Exercise Scientist and a Level 1 Sport Scientist with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA), and has many years of practical experience working in academic research positions conducting industry-funded research projects (Macquarie University, Sydney), working in high-performance sporting institutes improving elite athlete performance (Australian Institute of Sport, Canberra), and in clinical settings conducting gait analyses for high-risk patients (The Biomechanics Lab, Adelaide). Currently, Rhiannon is working on occupational and sport focused research projects and teaching practical classes for the Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science degree.
