BIO
As a postdoctoral researcher in the Okuda group, Dr Boskovic uses the zebrafish model to study lymphatic development, regeneration and identify novel therapeutic targets for lymphatic malformations.
Dr Boskovic completed his PhD research on cardiac and skeletal muscle stress response and heart regeneration at the University of Belgrade (Serbia), in 2021. He started his research at the Institute of Molecular Genetics and Genetic Engineering (Belgrade), establishing the zebrafish as a model to study MARP protein family members in striated muscle. He further built his expertise in genetic engineering, imaging and zebrafish injury models in the laboratory of Prof. Dr. Didier Stainier at the Max Planck Institute for Heart and Lung Research (Bad Nauheim, Germany).
While the main focus of his work is on the lymphatic vasculature, Dr Boskovic is keen on leveraging the zebrafish model to pursue scientific questions of broader interest to the research community.
