BIO
I am a proud Badimaya Yamatji woman whose unceded Country is located in what is now known as the central wheat belt area of Western Australia. As well as my lived experience as a First Nations person, I bring to the University environment extensive experience in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander healthcare, education and research.
I work across a range of health disciplines to develop and deliver First Nations health curriculum content, and support the capacity of non-Indigenous colleagues to work in this space. The focus of this work is to support a decolonised curriculum that privileges First Nations voices, supports self-determination, and uses strength-based approaches to create culturally safe teaching and learning in First Nations health.
