I am a PhD candidate in Rural Health School at La Trobe University, with a clinical background in dentistry and a Master’s degree in Oral Pathology. My research focuses on investigating the role of the oral microbiome in the development of oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC). Currently, I am working on microbial profiling of tumor and adjacent normal tissues to identify microbial signatures associated with OSCC. My goal is to contribute to a better understanding of the host–microbiome interactions involved in oral carcinogenesis.
