Steven Kelly is a Nanda descendant whose PhD was on his family’s connection to Country through continued presence and cultural practices, including births, deaths, camping, named places, hunting, and religious practices. The study explored how he and his family connect to each other and Country, primarily through the eyes of Elders whose yarns illuminate Nanda position as a sovereign people upholding their lore and culture.
