Before joining La Trobe University, Dr Hanna was a sessional lecturer and tutor at Charles Sturt University for five years. At present she is the Albury-Wodonga Associate Coordinator and tutor for the units PSY1EFP, PSY1CFP, PSY1HPM, PSY2PRM, PSY2DEV, PSY2SOC, PSY3RPA, PSY3PIN, PSY3RTP, PSY3ASD, and PSY3CSI in the School of Psychological Science, Albury-Wodonga Campus.
Dr Hanna completed a Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology) degree at Charles Sturt University and then went on to complete the Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) degree. During her Honours degree, she examined the effect of birth order on sibling's perceptions of personality.
Dr Hanna also completed a PhD investigating the availability of paediatric surgical care at the local level, and how travelling long distances to receive appropriate care impacts on the patient and their family. Her special interests are in determinants of patient satisfaction, paediatric outcomes measurement, and family-centred care in paediatrics.
