Dr Toong Khuan (TK) Chan is Associate Professor in Construction and Engineering Management at the Department of Engineering, La Trobe University. His main research interests are in the areas of construction economics and industry development.
His research has been focused on issues pertaining to industry development and has contributed to the development of construction industry initiatives in Malaysia and Indonesia. He has spent many years in the petrochemical and construction industries in Singapore and Malaysia, including consulting for major construction and multi-national companies in Asia.
He has previously taught at The University of Melbourne, Nanyang Technological University in Singapore and the Malaysia University of Science and Technology in Malaysia. Dr. Chan obtained his Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) degree from the University of Malaya and a PhD in Engineering from the University of Cambridge.
