BIO
Lecturer and educator in nursing at La Trobe University, my work focuses on health literacy, equitable healthcare access, and community-based research that supports vulnerable and ageing populations. My research background includes mixed methods research, cross-sectional and longitudinal study designs, and qualitative methodologies such as interviews and community engagement approaches. I also have experience in translating research findings and associated health education materials into non-English languages to support culturally inclusive and accessible healthcare communication.
My previous research focused on dementia care and education, with a strong emphasis on implementation science to bridge the gap between evidence and practice. Currently, I am involved in a research study through the Wicking Dementia Research and Education Centre that explores the experiences of informal carers, support workers, and service providers in accessing and delivering respite care in Australia. Through both teaching and research, I aim to support the development of evidence-based, compassionate, and person-centred care across diverse healthcare settings and communities.
